The cable does the job fine. Looking back at the photo now, it looks like the photo displays a VGA cable that is Male-Female. However, the ones I received were all Male-Male (which is what I needed).

Bad ghosting, not same color as pictured March 13 2012

Black and red text ghost really bad. Try reading your email or text with large black font. See picture added, best I could do with phone camera. I'm going to return for a different brand. I don't recommend this. Cable color is actually grey not white.

Ghosting on long extension April 20 2013

This is probably my doing but I was attempting to extend a 12' projector cable yet another 15 feet, and it produced too much 'ghosting' to be usable. It might have been fine if this was the only cable.

You may be better looking at the Belkin or equivalent, heavier coax, with the cable chokes (magnets) - this worked for me.

Doesn't work with alternative use April 9 2013

I bought this cable to extend the remote to my speakers and it apparently is missing the only pin i need for sound. I'm not saying that its not a good product, its just not good for what I needed. When using the remote, I could turn my system on and I could navigate easily, just when playing sound, (since it travels through the remote, then to the speakers) it did not work.

What confuses me,
- One picture is missing the same pin that is missing on mine.
- On the other picture, all 15 pins are clearly there.

I don't know if it is a production error, or if all of the VGA monitor cables come like this.

I am returning this product, but I do plan on emailing the company with a few questions first.

ghosting... Oct. 28 2013
By Amazon Customer - Published on
config was a dell optiplex SFF G620, using the onboard video. used this extension on top of normal monitor VGA cable. first observation was that my normal monitor resolution wasn't available anymore... 1400x900... without extension it was available, with it, it was not. secondly, bad ghosting.

i added 2 ferrite cores to the cable, which at least made the 1400x900 resolution re-appear, but the ghosting, though slightly improved, was still there.

i replaced this cable with a 10 foot cable that was much heftier, with ferrite cores from amazon, and all problems are resolved. it is odd, however, that when i add the extension, the resolution options still change, but at least the one i need is there.

Tripp Lite P500-010 10ft SVGA / VGA Monitor Extension Cable with RGB Coax Gold HD15M / HD15F 10-Feet

to be honest, i have a feeling that the quality of the video card and it's signal drivers has something to do with this, as have used these cables on other systems (still installed) and they worked fine.
Chopped up Oct. 29 2013

I just need the HD 15 pin male end to connect to a driver. I chopped these off and only connected two of the wires. For the price it was an excellent way to accomplish my goal.
