A good source of information for those with no previous experience in this field. The information is well structured, easy to understand and covers the whole spectrum of topics related to entrepreneurship.

This book is good for someone starting off in the cleaning industry, and has a lot of helpful points. However it does not go far enough in depth.

1.0 out of 5 stars Entrepreneur Press? Really? March 26 2013

Took a couple hours to read the book cover to cover and not find one useful or memorable piece of information. My copy was the third edition, published in 2010 under the "Entrepreneur Magazine's Startup" imprint. Lots of general advice suitable for people who want to start a business without necessarily doing any of the work or developing much in the way of expertise. It's more of a bland, elbow-rubbing business basics book than a guide for someone interested in making a buck from his special skills or ideas. Clearly the work of a business-startup book expert, not a person who knows anything about a particular field. Pretty much the antithesis of Don Aslett's joyous old crafsman-eye business books. To be fair, it is a good reminder of the bases you need to cover to stay afloat. It also includes some checklists and sample forms that could be useful. But, overall, the book really didn't offer an awful lot in the the specific how-to department. Conclusion, this book's not even a little bit worth owning. If you want a quick overview of the scope of starting a cleaning business, sit down with it at the library for few minutes and then find a better handbook to buy.
3.0 out of 5 stars Overly simplistic July 11 2013

Not a bad book, but basic to the point of being of limited value. If you are completely lost or have trouble organizing to make a plan to start a cleaning service this is probably a good book. If you already have some ideas and maybe some experience, this is probably not going to help you.
