It seems to work when you just want to see the files. But the USB does not pull enough power for it to work well.

Worked well with my HDD, but needed to take metal casing off my HDD to be able to connect them 2 (took me a while to figure it out, in case it helps anyone)

The product listing shows this as Windows only. It works just fine with Macs as well.
