"They started with collectibles from their closets and then realized they could make a living." (Reader's Digest, November 2002)

From the Author

eBay just gets better and better. If it's your intent to take the leap from casual seller to starting a full or part time business at eBay, this book is for you. After writing "eBay for Dummies" many ebay sellers asked me to write a more advanced book, and this it.

I’ve shared with you the knowledge I’ve gained from talking to hundreds of eBay sellers, many of whom have shared their “secrets” of eBay. I’ve also consulted with some business experts to set up basic bookkeeping and

inventory plans. You'll also have the benefit of my running a successful home business for the past 20 years. I've made a successful living while working at home, so can you.

In this book you’ll learn what it takes to run a successful business on eBay. I’ll give you some hidden eBay secrets and ways to make your selling time on eBay more efficient. You’ll learn about how to divide your personal time and eBay time, the “real” way to set up your books and run a business, where to find merchandise and lots of time and money saving tips along the way.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great book - Missed one critical tool. Sep 21 2003
Format:Paperback
As someone who recently became a millionaire by buying and selling on ebay using my own system, I can tell you this book is great. It gives a complete overview of starting an eBay business and uses an easy to follow style. They do miss one critical tool though that makes all the difference, that tool is www.powersnipe.com. eBay auctions are often lost in the last few seconds of the auction because the majority of people wait until the last seconds to place their bids. This tool bids for you at the last second and ensures you win, a big time saver and the biggest key to success. So buy this book and check out this tool for a complete picture.

As a novice ebay buyer, the "selling" bug bit me. It takes some of us longer then others, haha I knew I would need more info besides the tutorials supplied on ebay. So I did my research and bought this book and ebay for dummies before I started selling to get the full picture. Thank goodness! This book in particular is LOADED with great time and cost saving tips for a start up business. Her writing style and humor is very comforting along the ebay learning curve. ebay is an overwhelming but vastly entertaining animal. She has done her homework, is brutally honest and frankly, gives you the "real deal". Hats off to Marsha!!Great job to a savvy business lady!

5.0 out of 5 stars Man with a Mannequin Jan 21 2004
Format:Paperback
This book is well written. I found it to be concise, divided into areas in an easy to follow manner.
Each chapter stands on its own which makes it easy to read in my favorite style... (All over the place).
She even covers the small details such as proper online picture resolution, including the best camera to buy.
I started with an idea "I want to sell ladies clothing online"
I changed from "A Man with an Idea" to "A Man with a Mannequin" in 3 just days. Thanks Marcia
