With the functionality to customize every key on the keyset, on-the-fly macro recording, and the anti-ghosting of up to 7 simultaneous keystrokes, the SteelSeries Shift World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Edition Bundle is designed to help in the mastery of any game.

Use powerful one-touch macros for raiding and PvP gameplay, including the ability to mark targets for added group and raid functionality. Extended raid functionality lets you better manage raid groups as well as easily find a raid group to join. All commands are labeled and color coded on all keys for easily visibility and quick access. Although designed especially for Cataclysm, the Shift is compatible with all versions of World of Warcraft.

Multiple Levels of Macros Can Be Directly Recorded on the Keyboard

Personalization allows you to shift the rules to your favor. You can program every single key on the Shift through our advanced software--in fact, you can do this multiple times. That’s because macro layers are added to the Shift which can be easily activated through hotkeys on the base of the Shift. This means there is almost no limit to how much you can ask the Shift to do or how many times you can ask the Shift to do it. Illuminated indicators on the Shift quickly and easily indicate which layer is active.

You can record macros and actions on-the-fly. You can start recording macros directly from the base of the keyboard and quickly assign them to 8 specific hotkeys with 3 unique layers--giving you an easy access to a total of 24 keys. The Shift will even record your timing and delays on-the-fly, making it as easy as ever to configure and personalize.

Media Keys and Detachable Wrist Rest

Shift also offers easy access to Media controls, making it a convenient companion even when you are not destroying your friends and foes. A detachable wrist rest increases comfort for long gaming sessions.

Audio and USB Hubs

The Shift base was also designed to make it easy to plug in your peripherals. The keyboard's base includes gold-plated microphone-in and audio-out ports, as well as two 2.0 USB ports (one powered).

Enhanced Keys with Heat Mapping for Extended Lifecycle and Comfort

Normal keyboards are built to offer a lifecycle of 1 to 5 million keystrokes per key. The keys on SteelSeries Shift are specifically designed to operate with a travel distance of 4mm, which is less than most standard keyboards. SteelSeries considers 4mm the sweet spot for rubber dome keyboards, given it is faster, more responsive, and still offers a great tactile feeling during use.

Automatic heat-mapping carefully fine-tunes the force you need to apply with your finger to operate the keys. Some keys are used more frequently than others, both when gaming and typing. The keys you use the most, like the WASD keys for first-person shooters, require less force than the keys you don’t use as often. The SteelSeries Engine software keeps track of the keys you use most and can adjust the level of force needed for your most-used keys.

Organization of character profiles and macro administration are easily maintained from an easy-to-use interface of menus, sliding window panels, and tabs. Through its capacity to record action sequences and map them to a single key as well as measure actions per minute (APM) through a statistics module, SteelSeries Engine offers tools that provide gamers with a competitive advantage.
