Product Description

Step Up Revolution is the next installment in the worldwide smash Step Up franchise, which sets the dancing against the vibrant backdrop of Miami. Emily (Kathryn McCormick) arrives in Miami with aspirations of becoming a professional dancer and soon falls in love with Sean (Ryan Guzman), a young man who leads a dance crew in elaborate, cutting-edge flash mobs, called "The Mob." When a wealthy business man threatens to develop The Mob's historic neighborhood and displace thousands of people, Emily must band together with Sean and The Mob to turn their performance art into protest art, and risk losing their dreams to fight for a greater cause.

-----

5.0 out of 5 stars Great music and dance March 30 2014

This was an excellent movie with great music and dance. The story line was also very enjoyable. Very much true to today's problems with some places being torn down with no regard to the people living there just for the case of more condos.

I have watched all the ‘Step Up’ movies and have enjoyed all of them. I watched all three of the previous ones the night before I watched the fourth and my first thought coming out of the theater was “I loved it defiantly my favorite.”
The story-line, I'm going to start off by saying is very similar as the other ones. I read online a man’s summary of the movie and it was unnervingly correct and he hadn't even watched the movie, it was just his guess based on the other three, it was then that I realized that allot of those reviewers were right the story-line was quite, well, recycled.
However what the movie lacks in original story-line it more than makes up with dance. This is what makes it the best it is, after all, a dance movie, it may have an unexceptional story line but dance is what’s important and this movie knows how to dance. The first Step Up which seems to be the favorite may have had a more emotional story-line but in my opinion doesn't come close to this one on the dance scene. Revolution has costumes, real beautiful amazing costumes not to mention choreography!! Sometimes the other movies seemed too un-choreographed to me, in those movies the dance off sequence were long and sometimes even painful. I love how this movies dance seems so much more professional. And it’s not like it’s a bunch of high school students breaking into an unrealistic choreographed dance, these characters not only dance like professionals in some ways they are. The mob spends hours on end choreographing and planning their dances. Emily hopes to be a professional.
In conclusion if you’re looking for a deep drama with an amazing emotional story-line you’re in for a disappointment. This isn't a drama. THIS is a Dance movie.
