It is always good to see an old series friend return (like the recent return of Ian Rankin's Rebus) and John Harvey does not disappoint. The racial tensions and the degradation faced by illegal immigrants is described well. The story moves along at a fair pace and has some sad bits. All in all a fine addition to the Resnick series.
