Product Description

From Amazon.com

Jack Faraday, the Marquis of Dansbury, has no interest in being respectable. Nor is he interested in proper ladies pursuing marriage--until he looks across a room and into the emerald eyes of Miss Lilith Benton. When she publicly snubs him, Jack is furious and vows to exact revenge by seducing the lady known as the Ice Queen.

Lilith is aghast to learn that the man whose dark eyes stirred such excitement in her is the notorious Marquis of Dansbury. She's intent only on restoring her family's good name and making a respectable marriage; being pursued by a scandalous rake is not in her plans. Unfortunately, her heart won't listen to her good sense.

Stolen kisses and midnight escapades endanger both Lilith's reputation and Jack's heart. When they are forced to conspire to clear their names after a duke's mysterious death, hot desire soon replaces innocent kisses. Stolen Kisses is a delightful read, filled with tart, witty repartee, life-threatening danger, villainous dukes, and enough heart-shuddering sensuality to satisfy the most demanding reader. Somewhere in novelist's Heaven, revered Regency author Georgette Heyer must be smiling with delight about Suzanne Enoch's Regency romances.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not nearly as good as other Suzanne Enoch books, Mar 3 2004
This review is from: Stolen Kisses (Mass Market Paperback)
I have read all Suzanne's books except the ones that are so greatly overpriced in the used section. But I wanted to read another "Reforming a Rake", so I took a chance on paying way too much for this book. Definitely not worth it. It was nothing special at all. What an unpleasant surprise!! It wasn't awful, though, just not worth the extra expense (or the anticipataion)

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Book, Feb 28 2002

This book was a good read. Its a love story between Lilith and Jack the Marquis of Dansbury (the hunk) Lilith's family is determined that she marry a duke to restore the family's reputation but she falls in love with Jack the scandalous rake. Her father and aunt insist she have nothing to do with him. Jack decides he wants to become respectable so he can get near this women (When he falls off the wagon it is funny!) I loved the way Jack was so protective of Lilith and when things go wrong for Lilith she always runs into the arms of Jack. The book started out somewhat slow, but I give it 5 stars because once the pace picked up I really enjoyed the book.

5.0 out of 5 stars If you like romance, you will like this book!, Jun 27 1998
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com

While it may be true that this novel does have a few unbelievable moments as far as Regency England's rules are concerned, the romance and characters will by far make up for this. Jack Faraday, a rake who falls head over heels for the lady he is trying seduce is a very romantic character. Lilith, while remaining sensible and intelligent, gives in to her heart. The witty repartee and seduction scenes make this a must read. I had limited my romance reading to a particular set of authors (McNaught, Lindsey, Curtis(London), Deveraux, and Quick)and was agonizingly waiting around for a new release. I decided to try a new author in Suzanne Enoch, and I am glad that I did. I plan to read more of her novels.
