Wicked Good Book, Oct 12 2007
By Jeff Seyton - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Stones of Destiny (Paperback)
This book is awesome. There's not a whole lot more to say. The characters are great and the plot follows the history very well, despite the fact that Macduff is included.
Macduff is actually a slavering lunatic! Mrs. Wells is my hero for that one.
The only downside is that there's a lot of infidelity on his lordship's part. But it's not graphic. It's easy enough to ignore.
Anyway, it's a great book. I'd definitely reccomend it.

A great read - NOT a trashy novel, Feb 20 2010

This is *NOT* a trashy novel about dark ages sex slaves. This book isn't trying to pass itself off as factual history, it is historical fiction. If you liked Crighton's "The 13th Warrior" you'll like this book. I read "Asimov's Guide to Shakespeare" and the Bard took a lot of liberties when he wrote the Scottish play in order to impress James I who was king at the time. The author of this book is basing her story on what is known about the real MacBeath and Scottish history in the 11th century. Okay the main character is a slave, she's a girl and she has sex with her master, but it's not graphic and is only a small part of the book. Fabio does not belong on the cover, this isn't that kind of book. Overall this is a wonderful story and I highly reccommend it.

I must say that I absolutely LOVED this book. It was so fluid and the characters so real that I couldn't put it down. The plot was intriguing and deep. Five thumbs up to Mrs. Wells!
