From the Author

All of us have hit that "dating slump" at one time or another, when it seems like all your friends are coupled off, and you're sitting around on Friday night, eating frozen cookie dough right out of the package and wondering if you used up your "nice-guy" quota in college when you were still torturing men for sport. Hey, I've been through it myself! The good news is, there's at least one good, sweet, amazing guy out there just for you. Follow the methods in the book, and I'll teach you how to meet him and make him yours. You'll learn the same simple secrets my closest friends and I used to meet our darling husbands, and have some fun, too! Try the Stop Getting Dumped! method. It works like catnip for men.

2.0 out of 5 stars Unrealistic advice, Jun 16 2004
By
This review is from: Stop Getting Dumped! (Paperback)
While I admit that I am not nearly as experienced as the author, I know enough to realize that while much of the advice is useful, a lot of it is not very good or useful. For instance, it is downright rude to not return a guy's call. He will stop calling if you don't return his calls. Also, in the book "Why men marry some women and not others" statistics show that it was the woman who first brought up commitment and marriage a majority of the time, while Lisa Daily contends that a woman should never ever say the word marriage. Also, most of her advice seems to be based on the fact that "it worked for my friends and me, and we're all happily married" which doesn't seem like a necessarily good basis for judgment.

There is some good advice however. The holding out before having sex is very good advice, and her comment that a man should always pick up a woman and pay is useful as well. The problem is, her good advice seems to be mixed with bad. Why Men Love Bitches is definately a better, more practical book.

Hey Ronnie Clay of Louisiana, get a dictionary. Your spelling and grammar make you look like an idiot. And stop writing reviews when it's dollar night at your trailer park tavern!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Advice to catch a game player, Feb 18 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Stop Getting Dumped! (Paperback)
Her main advice is don't call a man...I understand that men like a little chase, but if you want to continue to play games and/or show a man that you are uninterested (by not calling him back), then buy this book. Her advice is dated.
