Product Description

Stop smoking isn't like other books out there on the market. Addicts know the risks they take every time they inhale. They hear all the negative publicity and government warnings too. They may be smokers but they aren’t stupid. What they want is tried and tested methods to help them to stop. That’s where Peter and Clive come in. In Stop smoking they reveal tips and advice on every topic to do with breaking the habit, from how to stop the chain reaction of 'I've had one, why not have another..', to exploring alternative therapies to help you quit, via ideas for keeping yourself busy to beat the cravings and ways to de-stress your life after you’ve given up. Most importantly of all, this book never belittles the scale of the battle you'll fight as you quit, and with its collection of tips, ideas, advice and information you'll be well armed to win. It won't be easy, but with help and support, you can do it!

I have been a smoker for about 20 years. I have tried many times and read many books. This one was actually helpful! Really helpful. Some of the ideas inside helped not only myself, but my wife also a 20 year smoker, quit. It is easy to read and full of good info. Give it a shot for yourself.

HASH(0xa86f3570) out of 5 stars Not your average "stop smoking" campaign. Sept. 6 2012

I have read so many books and generally they are written by two different groups of people. Those who have never smoked and thus don't understand the addiction fully. Or those who used to smoke who now preach worse than those who have never smoked.

Either way their books tend to carry a ton of health facts and the like. Problem with a book like that is that these days most smokers know all those facts. We have heard them a million times and reading them will not scare us into quitting.

The Refreshing thing about this book is that it is written by two authors, one who has never smoked and one who is trying to quit smoking as they wrote.

The first chapter shows just how different the book is by going over the very real reasons why we smoke. Not death counts of lung cancer patients or the number of house fires.

It's written in a way that you can relate too and often had me laughing. Some of their tips I have heard before but they offer up so many ideas and witty commentary that I really enjoyed reading it and have found myself using several tips of theirs. I have cut down from being a pack a day smoker to about 5 cigs a day. Hopefully with their help I'll be able to drop it completely.

It's well thought out and with us as individuals in mind. I would definantly recommend this to everyone trying to quit and those around them that are trying to understand the lure and difficulty of quitting smoking.

This book kicked me where I needed it the most as a smoker. Over 40 years and tried to quit a bazillion times. Some things I read here, just snapped me into seriously getting the job done. FIRST week I've ever had smoke free in all these years. Still packing this book around for support, as its really working for me. Really brilliant. Wow. I didn't really think a book would of helped me quit. What a happy surprise that it did. :)

I read this book just to renew my commitment to not smoking cigarettes. I stopped some time ago, but enjoy getting some inspiration once in a while, and this book absolutely did the trick. Very well presented, excellent information, this material will help smokers stop smoking and stay stopped. I highly recommend it.
