4.0 out of 5 stars The best sophmore country album I heard in awhile! May 6 2014
By Michael jenkins - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
Hunter has always been one of my favorite singers. I only recently started becoming a huge fan though, the theme of his songs can range from, love, heartache and pain. I love this album, there is not any song that I don't like or find forgettable. I think this is much better than his first album, it has more meaningful songs with some catchy lyrics. The highlights will be the single Invisible( very inspirational song), Wild heart ( good single contender),Secret Love, Nothing like starting over and my personal favorite When did you stop loving Me.

I really love how diverse this album it is not your typical country album but it is sorta bluely as well.

Highly recommended for any fan of Hunter or anyone that may be interested in him as an artist!

5.0 out of 5 stars A CD Worth Buying May 9 2014
By Kenzie - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
Hunter Hayes' new album is amazing! I am not one to buy CDs, because I usually only like one or two tracks on them, but I love every song on Storyline, and bought my first CD in 8 years. It showcases Hunter's breadth of talent beautifully; the lyrics are thoughtful and well composed, and the number of instruments he can play is astonishing! Thank you Hunter Hayes for a wonderful second album!

5.0 out of 5 stars Once In A Great While... May 21 2014
By The Wizard - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
Once in a great while, someone comes along that stops you in your tracks. Someone... that was born to do this. This music thing. And dont let the 'Country' connotation make you wary. There is more Power Pop going on here than back porch picking. And every song on this offering is a gem. No fillers here. Superb production, heartfelt lyrics, sincere vocals, and Hunter is adept on 30 different instruments. Hunter wears his heart on his sleeve, and transcends the sugar sweet, with from the heart sincerity. Thoughts of The Everly Brothers, and early John Mayer come to mind, with a pinch of Louisiana Rusty & Doug.
Hunter Hayes is no flash in the pan, flavor of the month. He is one of the few shining stars, in the bleak and fickle world of contemporary music.
Excellence and Sincerity can go a long way. This is one of the best albums of the year. God Bless Hunter Hayes.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good second. May 8 2014

Hunter Hayes' second album 'Storyline' tells an amazingly compelling country story. The album is pretty great, not too much country, not too much pop, rather a good blend of both styles. Fans of either genre (or both) will find album easy to listen to and enjoyable. Storyline also exhibits how much Hayes is growing as a musician and songwriter. Listening to Storyline, you will notice that the album is slightly slower than his self-titled debut. This new style has quite a nice feel to it, makes it a pleasure to listen to. I recommend this album to fans of Hayes' and country fans.
