I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I found the part where Annie and Steve are buried under the rubble of the bombing difficult to read. The thought of being buried like that is distressing.However, Rosie Thomas tells the story well and the connection these two people made because of their circumstances so very believable and inspirational. It is a great read, a good moving, emotional story with excellent characterization. I highly recommend this book. I had read a couple of other more recent Rosie Thomas's books but enjoyed this the best.
