Highly detailed with many insets, laminated, easy to fold, portable and legible. This is a must for anyone travelling to Buenos Aires for the first time. The maps you get in guidebooks cannot compare. I found it especially useful in booking hotels- I almost booked one in Villa Crespo without truly appreciating how far it is from both the Centro and even Palermo. The entire series is especially handy for travellers who tend to walk or use transit while visiting a new city. Sure, a little pricey, but it pays for itself with the advanced knowlege you get while planning your itinerary.

Upside down map Jan. 27 2013

I started out using this map as it is easy to mark on and has detailed neighborhood maps. I finally gave up on it because the top of the map faces South. I have used maps and traveled the world for four decades. I have become accustomed to maps that face North on the top. For three days I used this map and found I instinctively turned the wrong way at a street intersection and had to retrace my steps in the opposite direction. If you turn it to the North all the street names and landmark names are upside down.

I found a correct one in a bookstore and off I went.

Streetwise BA map July 7 2013

Horrible, I spend a lot of time in Buenos Aires and I bought this map for my house guests and I had a hard time following it. The free maps at the paper stands are 1000% better.

Streetwise Map Jan. 11 2011

Not a bad map, but a little difficult to use due to small fonts. The street index is very helpful. I would have been happier with it had I taken a grease pencil along to temporarily mark routes of interest and locations directly on the map. It did seem accurate.

Durable map but we didn't use it April 15 2013
By James Robert Black - Published on Amazon.com

This map is made of heavy laminated card stock and does not easily fold to put in a back pocket. We were given a map upon arrival that was less durable but more easily carried and marked-up by hotel clerks, friends, etc. for places to go. The free map was torn and a bit dog-eared by the end of our stay but it served the purpose for week we were there and I was more inclined to stick it in my pocket. Buenos Aires has a rather compact city center surrounded by many outlying cities that one will probably never visit so a map of just the city center is sufficient which this map is. It was just more convenient to use the free paper map.
