Advanced yoga that isn't impossible!,
By
This review is from: Strength & Endurance - Yoga Zo (DVD)
I LOVE the Bryan Kest trilogy, like everybody else who practices at home. Nothing is as good as Bryan's Power Yoga set, but this is my runner-up. It is a full hour of challenging yoga. I actually dripped sweat on my mat, which I never do! It has a long sequence that builds strength and heat, and a nice collection of balancing poses (which tend to be neglected to a great extent in yoga DVDs), as well as all the floor essentials. What I really liked about this DVD, aside from it being really well-planned and well-paced, is that it really challenged me without moves I just couldn't attempt (like headstands). All the moves are totally do-able for anybody who has any yoga basics--they are just made tough to really challenge your limits. There is a modifier, though, to make almost all poses easier for those working their way up, so intermediates and more advanced yogis will find this appropriate and helpful. Also, this DVD contains some really great tips for posture and alignment--something I found really helpful even after practicing for a while.

yoga zone-strength and endurance,

I started doing yoga a year ago.I never went to classes but I have two other yoga DVDs.I feel I'm getting a better workout from the Yoga Zone strength and endurance DVD. I find the instructor moves along at a good pace from one pose to another. Some of the poses are a bit of a challenge, but yoga is all about practce. As well,if you are a beginner you can follow the more modified version as demonstrated by one of the three instructors in this video. It takes a little over one hour to complete the full workout, but you will really feel that you have done something physical for your body when you have finished.I recommend it.

Challenging in a Good Way,

This review is from: Strength & Endurance - Yoga Zo (DVD)
I took basic yoga for a year and a half before moving on to power yoga. I bought this DVD to supplement a power yoga course I am taking. This is HARD for me, but nice because it is so long (about an hour I think) it takes awhile to do the whole thing, so I have something to work towards. I am about 2/3 of the way after a month or so. I would recommend doing basic yoga for awhile before trying this unless you're used to working out a lot. But once you're ready this is the DVD to buy. The instructor is really good and the exercises really work your leg and arm muscles.
