HASH(0xa60577b0) out of 5 stars great tool when the tutor's office is closed Sept. 8 2009

the book is great - it covers chapters 10 through 17, it has the solutions for all the odd questions (student manuals never give odds and evens). and the solutions are written in a step by step progression that helps cement the correct way to solve the problems. i used the single variable solutions manual for Calc II, and it helped me understand the course enough to finally pass it (with an A), and now that i purchased this manual for calc III I've no doubt i'll pull through again.

HASH(0xa5fed858) out of 5 stars Review of Stewarts solution manual for Calculus Three 6th Edition May 5 2012
By KCtheTutor - Published on

This is a great book, however my teacher disagreed with a lot of the proof methods that were given in this book. But some of those proofs were much simpler and easier to understand than the solutions that my prof. gave in class. Unlike the examples that Stewart gives in the text book, these proofs are a lot more detailed and complete. I will say that I wish I had had the book since the beginning of the semester. Perhaps I wouldn't be getting a low B right now...

HASH(0xa5ef9840) out of 5 stars Decent solutions manual Feb. 25 2011

Good manual, diagrams especially useful for 3-D vectors, surfaces, and the like. Be sure you have solid understanding of single variable calculus, as many basic steps are omitted in solutions. (i.e. be sure you are confident with basic derivations and integration)

When I bought this, I wasn't entirely certain that it was the solutions manual I was in need of, since it doesn't make it clear that it is the solutions manual for Stewart's "Calculus: Early Transcendentals, Vol. 2" which is Stewart's multivariable calculus textbook. Rest assured, as it is the manual for this book, it just references a different edition. I really like having the solutions manual, it has helped me out with a lot of problems for which I need more explanation of how to reach the answer. It is a great companion to the text book, especially if, like me, you are taking the class online and don't have direct access to your professor except through email.
