How best to describe this amazing album? If you like dance club and lounge/chill style music, this is the one you are looking for. For those familiar with Euro style lounge club, this is a real muscian who is significant step above with music that might otherwise appeal to the mass audience if it had the big names and promotions. I say real musician as opposed to the the many grooves dished out that are written by ghost names that only appear once on overly repetitive tracks. And her voice, so incredible.
Listen to the 30 second sample tracks and you will likely find more than one that you'll think are easy to listen to from the first shot. Recommendations include the popular Wave of Change, and the dance tracks Subconcious and Illusions. She is a master of the use of minor and major chords to create music that is moody but with a positive attitude with only an aftertaste that asks for more. Listen to a sample of Life is Waiting, or my favorite track in the album, the dreamy Find a Way, for examples of this addictive method. Those that usually only find albums with only one or two tracks and go crazy over a song and listen to it over and over, well you may find many of them in this CD. Having this many great songs only happens to me maybe in 1 in 50 albums.
Despite only coming across Ssmantha's music recently, I wait and hope for another follow up but hope it does not take another three years, although I would not be surprised if she does this to give herself time to perfect her songs before having them come out to the public. Hopefully this review will encourage more people to try her out. Honestly, I would not be surprised to see her music out in the media more, maybe appear in a movie on a TV show at some point. Bravo Samantha...
