4.0 out of 5 stars The " SUBMARINE CAPER " Has You In It's Sights Jun 11 2009
Format:Hardcover
While vacationing in Germany Frank and Joe stumble upon a case. The case involves a friend of theirs who has invented a mini submarine. It seems that some under handed criminals are stealing his ideas and designs with regards to the sub.

They also help in locating five valuable medieval paintings that have been stolen from a well known family. The first of many clues brings Frank and Joe a picturesque town of Glocken on the Rhine River.

Attempts to force the Hardys to drop the case have been few and far between. The Hardys nearly lose their lives in the process when a valuable clue surfaces in an old wine celler. They they discover the truth with regards to a suspects past life.

This book had a great story and lots of excitement. It had all kinds of twists and turns that would many any reader keep on reading. Definitely worth checking out.

4.0 out of 5 stars One Of The Better Paperbacks Jun 13 2001
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
While in Germany, Frank and Joe investigate a case of sabotage on an inventor's mini-submarine and the theft of valuable medieval paintings which had been lost after being hidden during World War II. An interesting story with lots of action; the book kept me interested from beginning to end. My only complaint is that none of the Hardy's friends or family were included.
3.0 out of 5 stars Submarines and medieval art. Aug 4 2000

When 5 paintings are stolen and a submarine is sabotaged, the Hardys come to the rescue. This is a good kids book, although I don't think it's the best in this series.

3.0 out of 5 stars A pretty good kids book, but not the best. Aug 4 2000
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
A sabotaged sub and missing paintings is what this book is about. It's okay for a Hardy Boys book, but not the best.
