This workbook is considered the best in the field of copy editing. It combines instruction and practice so that you get instant feedback on your work. It demonstrates the correct way to edit sentences, paragraphs and whole pieces and also explains why. It is a workbook that I have referred to time and time again. The lessons are well presented. This book was a mandatory course book for my course in Substantive Editing at Ryerson University, Toronto.

I obtained this book from my public library, bless them. This book inspires, clarifies, nurtures and teaches, painlessly. It provides mental tools that are easy -- and dare I say it? -- fun to use to improve your writing and editing. Confused about when to use 'who' or 'whom?' You won't be after you read this book. I highly recommend this book. I will buy one for myself as soon as I am financially able.
