Starts super but the ending is weak!,

This western book had me right from the beginning, with a very interesting story line (I won't give the story away) and kept me going, wondering where this was going but I think the author had no idea how to complete the story. The ending was very weak and never addressed how the monster moved so quick, how it could kill so many lumber jacks, grabbing men off horses, hanging others high up in trees, etc...
I really think the author ran out of pages, and could have done alot better. I am looking forward to the next book in this series though! - Michel
