Made for taller folks, Cheaply sewn., April 19 2012

I really give these 2.5 Stars.
Me: I'm a male, 5'7" 165 muscular pounds. Avid cyclist. Weight lifter, somewhat. And a personal trainer. I ride a road bike.
The Fit: I ordered the medium size. Diameter is fine. But they are very tall in the waist. I mean they come half way up my stomach. If you're tall then these may fit better. The inseam is true - 8" as described.
The manufacture: What a drag!! I just got these. Hand washed them to clean and soften chamois. Air dried them. Put them on and on both leg grippers - the zigzag stitching broke! First time! Very thin thread used. Disappointed in that such costly shorts are shoddily made. They are made in Morocco. The grippers are still secured at their bottom edge. But I'm not sure how long they'll last.
I got the black-and-white. They look great and the rest of the stitching seems to be okay - but I've only worn them once.
The chamois is great. Comfortable and loosened up after the first ride (I just did 25 miles).
Bottom line - I'm going to give them another try, maybe try rolling the "waist band". If I encounter more bad stitching they are going back! Geez - look what they cost!

I was searching for some butt relief and found it in these shorts. I first bought the liner version for use in touring and then these shorts. When I finished the first long ride and thought I forgot to keep track of but pain and crouch rub. Then it occured to me that was the best result. I didn't notice any.

Comfortable shorts even for extended rides, Sep 15 2011
By P. Loomis - Published on Amazon.com
These shorts have been quite comfortable over the first 500 miles of use. The extra padding has made a nice difference in overall comfort, and the fit is exactly as advertised. The only thing that has gone wrong is that the name sticker for "Sugoi" has pretty much come off of the leg. No big deal for me -- it just decreases their advertising.
