This system is so noisy and low tech. It added so much to our new parental worry and sleepless nights.
The video quality is poor. (on both devices)
The hand held device would blow through power faster than a cell phone with an old/defective battery. Don't worry though, the handset lets you know via high pitched squealing that it is low on power. A super added feature for when you are tip toeing around the house or trying to catch a blissful 23 minute power nap.
The handset is an awkward range - with no adjustment options. For people in close quarter communities or apartments (you will pick up the signal of your neighbors monitors). If you are in a single family home with enough land to have a small garden and the neighbours house isn't one foot away - you cannot get away with gardening without losing the signal.
The mounting hardware for the camera is good - we never had any issues with the camera moving or of being any hazard whatsoever to our child. This is my only positive comment.
My recommendation is to get a wireless camera - many will let you download an app to your phone. This way, you can watch your child from anywhere, no static, clear video, no nude neighbor parents, and you can go outside in an attempt to reclaim any bits of sanity you have left.
Good luck soldiers. Don't waste your money on this one.
