This dvd is so wonderful and absolutely helpful for any pregnant woman out there! Most prenatal workouts are poorly designed to a woman's needs and end up being either boring or unrealistic to her abilities. Every pregnant woman is different and has her good days and bad. This is the first dvd to acknowledge that. It is split up into your first, second and third trimester, each section with specific excercises depending on how far along you are. Modifications are offered and this dvd even gives us the option of the full workout (1 hr including fun warm-up and wind-down relaxing stretch) or the express workout (half the time) for every trimester. The exercises are designed to help keep mommy fit, but also to relieve any tension or pain she might be feeling in her back and hips. The workout if performed by Summer Sanders when she's 7 months along, so its really inspiring to see someone feeling the same as we are when we're doing it. Also, the exercises are so effective that even a non-pregnant woman can do them and still feel and see the results! As a mommy to be, i would recommend this dvd to every pregnant woman. After doing these exercises, I feel so much better and i know others will too!

I purchased this DVD after reading all the reviews, but it hasn't been a great one for me. The work out is thorough, and works your whole body, for sure, but I found it too long to fit into my schedule (the regular workout is a full hour) and, it didn't seem to accomplish as much as my other prenatal DVD. (Erin O'Brien's.) I found the routine pretty boring, and I thought that the commentary/conversation between the Summer and her trainer was irritating.
All in all, I guess I'd say it's a decent work out, if you have an hour to devote to it regularly, but I think there are other better ones out there.

This workout is great for so many reasons!!

- It's actually a good workout - not mostly stretching, unlike some other pregnancy DVDs.
- Summer Sanders is actually pretty funny! She made me laugh a few times.
- Summer explains things well, and reminds you about posture and drinking water at appropriate intervals.
- There are three different workouts - one for each trimester. This is GREAT because after 3 months, you're getting pretty tired of doing the same thing.
- There is an Express version of each workout - good for when you're short on time (or energy).

This is the most fun workout video I've ever bought, and the stretches at the end are great. Highly recommended!! If you want to switch it up with another, try Erin O'Brien's pregnancy workout DVD - it's also fantastic.

I only did the express workout on this video (for the second trimester) and I found it to be a little boring so I had no desire to try the longer workout.
I felt it was a good workout for the arms but not as much for lower body and I would have appreciated more cardio.
The emphasis on strength training using resistance bands is really not my style. I was also concerned with doing crunches - even though they were modified, it seems difficult and unnecessary to work this muscles in this way while pregnant.
I much prefer Erin O'Brien's Prenatal Fitness Fix and Shiva Rea's Prenatal Yoga.

Long trainings, even the express one is about 35-40 minutes I think, so I'm not sure I'll do it quite often, don't have time ! Also, I was not aware you needed a band when I bought it, so I can't even do it for the moment... a bit disapointing !

I am happy with the range of exercises that this video has and it is nice that it has a workout for each trimester. I also bought the Erin O'Brien video and I prefer this one. O'Brien's video has a some pilates/ballet style moves that i find awkward and not as effective as this video. I do find all the talking a bit much after a few uses, but i just turn down the volume and put on some music. Happy with it overall.

I have bought a few prenatal workout DVDs and this one is my favourite so far. The only challenge was that I didn't notice when I bought it that it required a resistance band so I had to go out and buy one. It is a very good workout! At first I thought "oh no, this one is just easy relaxed movements like the others" and then I realized it is challenging as it continued. If not challenging enough for you - change your resistance band to make it harder! I will be alternating between this and cardio workouts on a regular basis.

I used to do Jillian Michael's workouts until I got too far along to do all of the exercises lying on my back, and it was just too intense as I got out of breath so much faster. I like this video to switch up with my own weight routine that I've made up. There is a lot of leg and arm work which I like. It would be nice to have more than one workout for each trimester but for the days I feel less motivated I can just put this on and know I have to follow it to the end.
The two of them are annoying to listen to especially when they talk over each other but just turn the sound down. I also go on the elliptical for a bit or for a walk afterwards to get a bit more cardio in.
