HASH(0x995a8a8c) out of 5 stars Summertime Dec 5 2009
By Lewis A. Shepard - Published on Amazon.com

Two of the best jazz guitarists play standards. The arrangements are inventive, graceful and forceful when needed. They perform work by
Jobim, Gershwin, Corea among other. This is their 2nd dual album.
It shows their great range and great generosity. The sound quality is excellent, the music well-chosen.

HASH(0x995a8cd8) out of 5 stars as good as it gets June 24 2009

A more-than-worthy follow-up to their first recording together, Summertime showcases two kindred spirits with very distinct, individual approaches to the guitar at ease with one another and playing with incredible virtuosity and inventiveness. Guitar music in general, and guitar duos specifically, just don't get any better than this.

In addition to their previous recording, Duets, check out their live performances together in Bireli's wonderful DVD, Live in Vienne. These two were meant to play together!

this is wonderful. Tight interplay, beautiful sound. One of the most pleasurable discs I've heard in quite some time
HASH(0x995ad294) out of 5 stars Delightful! Jan. 17 2013

Just a wonderful and delightful interplay between these two guitarists. I was drawn to the album from hearing one cut on the radio and contrary to some experiences where hearing one cut and then experiencing disappointment after hearing the album, that was not the case here. This will receive many plays in car and home.

These are two supremely talented and imaginative guitarists. I love this and the other CD Lagrene/Luc recorded. If you like great acoustic jazz guitar playing, this is the stuff.
