Puzzles to puzzle over Jan. 18 2013

NYT Sunday crossword puzzles are the best. My husband and I enjoy many hours of working through these puzzles.
Nicely made, sturdy book (although not as nicely designed as their older version, which had sturdier covers). Print is a little small. I'd gladly pay $5 more for a slightly larger book.

Bought this for my Dad for his birthday, he loves to do crossword puzzles. It's a good size book and very sturdy, good quality. Plenty of room to add a few notes and appointments each day. He was very pleased.
My fave planner Feb. 19 2013

Yes, I have digital/online calendars that I use for work, but I use this, as well. The crossword puzzles are a good way to focus my brain during boring assemblies and meetings. My only criticisms (and why it gets four stars instead of five) is, first, that the paper is not glare-free. It's hard, under certain lighting, to read the clues (or what's written in the planner spaces), due to the glare. Secondly, super-sticky notes leave residue on the pages. I routinely use these in my planner and in my notebooks/journals, for keeping lists, etc. and am disappointed that they leave a trace of residue behind on this paper. I don't have this issue in my other paper book items. Other than that, I'm happy with it. Mind you, this is a 'soft' cover, and the inside of each cover has a deep flap--good for keeping papers together. I use a self-stick pocket from a famous sticky-note compnay on the inside cover, to make sure whatever papers I place inside stay put, though.
