If you want your kids to read you have to pick material that gets their interest. This should help to balance out the other literacy building activities you are doing. Captain America Doom's Day is a fun book to read with your child before bedtime. My four year old loves superheros and is more than willing to spend the time with this book and I before shutting off his mind for the night. Good price for the book. I ordered most books from the series and the DVD box set which is fun and not at all too violent for little boys and girls who are being taught the difference between fiction and reality by intelligent and informed parents. Pick it up and turn your child on to reading. Have fun!

Good for 3 year olds Sept. 9 2013

My son doesn't understand good guys / bad guys so this book is great because there is little fighting and the heroes and villains work together. But it allows my son to be a part of the super hero craze and feel cool. It's an age appropriate book and I plan to buy more versions.

The product review does not match this book July 17 2013
By Jason J. Jones - Published on Amazon.com

I actually enjoy this book. However, it does not include anything about Dr. Strange mis-spelling something and creating a swarm of mini-Sentinels. The top half of the product description is incorrect. If you like the plot description listed below the incorrect description, then it is a fine book and I'm sure that you will love it.

Our three year old son loves the Super Hero Squad and these were a great gift for him. He loves hearing the stories and seeing the pictures of his favorite heroes.
