I find a lot of weight loss books are just to preachy... I mean, they go on and on about how you have to get into the mindset, which makes sense, but I am already in the mindset if I am reading your book.

This book is nice in that it doesn't really do this. It is concise and to the point for what I want.

The biggest part of the book I like is that it provides a 4 week plan of your diet and your excercise. It shows you what to eat each day (with possible substitutions), the coordinating recipes, and the grocery list (!!!). This is what I want, something simplistic, and tells me exactly what I should do.

THe book claims that follow this plan will lose (on average) about 20 lbs in the first month, I am crossing my fingers that it is true, but I am not far enough in the timeline to know for sure.

Should you buy? at the moment I say yes, as I really like the concise nature of this book

I like the variety I snack ideas and the calorie disruption schedule. I lost 10 lbs, but only had about that much to lose. It was a mistake to order the book in Kindle form. It made flipping back and forth a pain.

Great book - lays out four weeks of meal choices -- pick a meal for the prescribed time and go. Contains your weekly shopping list, plus pages of 100 and 150 calorie snacks you can have pretty well any time. (Who knew a baked potato with toppings could be a low-cal snack?) First week didn't see any real change in weight, but the next week I was down 7 pounds. Down 11 by end of week 3 (I didn't ramp up exercising) and down 14 by the end of the workout. I had a few cheats, so I suspect I might have actually hit the 20 had I followed Ian's plan to the letter. Oh ... and that was three months ago. And because the book changed how and what I eat, and when, I have held the weight off.

I have always been sceptical of diet books as I think that people expect them to work miracles. This book was different, it was realistic. Most importantly it made me realize just how much I was eating that I shouldn't. I only lost 10 pounds the first time that I did this but I learned what to eat and when to eat it and its made a huge difference. Its been a month and a half since I've done super shred and using tips that I've learned from the book I've lost another 10 pounds. I highly recommend using the MyFitnessPal app with this as well, it helps make you responsible for your diet cheating!

Great book. Arrived promptly without any hassles. The format is very easy to follow and I like how he tells you what you CAN eat, not what you CAN'T. I found his program easy to follow and did not feel like I was on a diet. It definitely kick-started my food overhaul, revved up my metabolism and I found it easy to maintain the program long term.

If you do the work and eat properly as the book suggests you will lose weight you do have to work hard and put in an effort results don't come by being a couch potato
