Super Why! is the first superhero property that helps children 3-6 learn to read through interactive story adventures! In the TV series each episode begins behind the bookshelves in the library in a magical neighborhood where all fairytale characters live, including four main fairytale friends, Wyatt, Red Riding Hood, Princess Pee and Pig. In every episode, one of the main characters experiences a preschool relatable social emotional problem. When there's a question at hand, the fairytale friends rush to the Book Club to look . . . in a book! Whyatt and friends, including the viewer, transform into a team of literacy-powered super heroes to solve the problem and save the day all while teaching children core reading fundamentals!

The video itself has 4 episodes on the disc and does not run through on it's own like other children's tv videos. This is good if you are like me and have things to do while your kids watch tv but don't want them watching all the shows at once if you get carried away cleaning the house.
This video is wonderful for my four year old. (My 2 1/2 yr old isn't really interested) She sings along to the songs and has become interested in letters and has figured out that they are used to tell people things. I believe "Super Why" has helped her with this. Another interesting series is "Sid the Science Kid" which investigates the world from a childs perspective. Both, "Sid" and "Why" are great for 4yrs up.
From an appreciative mom and educational consultant.
