This shelf has done everything we expected. Our tile installer said it was easy to install. It is attractive and useful. It added some much needed stroage space in the small shower stall, with no significant loss of person space. (It sticks out about an inch from the line of the wall.)

Swanstone is great for a recessed shelf in the shower

I have a Swanstone shower pan floor and while I like its sturdiness & non slick surface, I find it a chore to use abrasive cleanser to get it clean. The recessed shelf, however, is another story. It is a perfect size to store all those tall shampoo bottles - this size accommodates the largest shampoo bottle sizes on the market. I also use it for bar soap with a little rubber soap holder under the bar. I do not need to scrub this at all, just some tub cleaner spray like Scrubbing Bubbles or Method and the soap scum is gone. I prefer this to any other option out there for housing shampoo & soap. Highly recommended!

I ordered the bone color Swanstone Recessed Shampoo Shelf through Amazon from Plumbers Surplus - I viewed the item online several times beforehand and it looked to me, to be an off white color, in the very light brown family. I thought I had viewed the entire return policy as well. When the item arrived, it was an off yellow color, which will not match my bathroom at all. The very same day, I contacted Amazon and requested a return, due to the color not being bone, but a light yellow. I then found out that Plumbers Surplus charges a 20% restocking fee and I have to pay the return shipping (that is costing quite a bit considering the size and shape of this package). Buyer Beware
