The master of the macabre switches genres in an action-packed Nazi-conspiracy thriller
In the closing days of World War II, Hitler summons SS-General Ernst Streicher to discuss the Third Reich's only hope to win the war—the Wonder Weapons controlled by Himmler's dreaded SS. When Allied bombers force Streicher to abandon his rocket factory, a monstrous conspiracy that still lies hidden today is set in motion.
In present-day Vancouver, the RCMP's Special X squad is hunting for a pair of Nazi-inspired killers. When Special X turns to the FBI for help, the black world of the Pentagon picks up the clue and ties it to the long-kept secret of what crashed at Roswell, New Mexico, in 1947.
Swastika revolves around a deadly cat-and-mouse game embroiling the Mounties, Pentagon hit men, and neo-Nazi psychopaths.
Michael Slade is the pen name of Jay and Rebecca Clarke. Swastika was inspired by the Second World War archives of Flight Lieutenant Jack "Johnny" Clarke, who flew forty-seven combat missions against the Third Reich in Europe, and in North Africa for the Battle of El Alamein. As a criminal lawyer, Jay Clarke, Jack's son, has fought more than one hundred murder cases. He specializes in the law of insanity. Rebecca Clarke, Jay's daughter, has a degree in history and English literature. Michael Slade is the author of eleven Special X thrillers.
