Amazing Books,
This review is from: The Sword of Truth, Boxed Set II, Books 4-6: Temple of the Winds, Soul of the Fire, Faith of the Fallen (Paperback)
Love the Sword of Truth Series, can't put down the adventures and books 4 through 7 offer the same amazing experience as the first 3.

I like the characters Goodkind has created for the most part but some of the elements of the story are not very good in my opinion.
I find he relies far too much on ridiculous prophecies with even more ridiculous covenants, it detracts from my enjoyment of the books.

To delve any further than book 3 into this series is an enormous mistake. And that makes me quite angry. I love the characters, Richard, Kalan, Cara, etc., but the plot lines are really just weak variations on a theme. I could get by with that. But the ending of book 5 leaves you with a "What the ...?" feeling, and book 6, what an utter piece of garbage. In book 6 Goodkind's true colors as a follower of the insanity of Ayn Rand shine through. It may as well have been called, "Ayn Rand vs. the Commies". Do yourself a HUGE favor and walk away.
