5.0 out of 5 stars Great book for children July 4 2012
Format:Paperback
I don't understand the other review for this book, I read it when I was in grade 5 and it made me passionate about reading, at 23 I read a novel a week. We let kids play games like call of duty and watch movies with killing and drug use, but you find it inappropriate to let children read about an animal killing? I'll most certainly buy this series again for my children

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't judge the book by its cover April 22 2002

Format:Paperback
This is the third in a series based on the utterly implausible premise that two modern-day kids find a frozen tyrannosaurus egg which hatches and the T-Rex becomes their friend. The book opens in a highly confusing fashion, jumping from the Amazon jungle, to Russia, to America. The most inappropriate part, though, is the level of violence. In the opening scene the T-Rex kills two men while protecting the hidden city of Eldorado. One of the men is bitten in half. Then the king of Eldorado tells T-Rex that he deserves a reward, so go ahead and eat the two dead men. I don't know why anyone would let a child read this book.
