Playing the music of the Beatles, Gershwin and Fats Waller as well as the improvised solos of Charlie Parker in five part harmony at breakneck speed, five virtuoso Russian saxmen and their emphatic rhythm section prove that Jazz is universal. Saxophone Journal commended the session as "an amazing display of pure musicianship of the highest caliber."
