About the Author
Peter Kenter grew up in Toronto, Ontario, bathed in the indifferent glow of a 24-inch black and white television set. Relocated at age eleven to the rural farming community of Dorchester, television provided him with a cultural lifeline until he could return to civilization.
In high school, Peter and a friend launched a miniature publishing empire, selling newspapers to fellow students including six issues of The Sir Cedric Times (celebrating the virtues of British actor Sir Cedric Hardwicke). Since completing a degree in journalism at Ryerson Polytechnical University, Peter has worked at Southam Inc., and has written for such publications as Toronto Life, Canadian Business, Report on Business and Cottage Life.
