About the Author

JEANNE WILLIS is one of the most successful children's picture book authors. She also writes for television and video companies, and has two children.

MARGARET CHAMBERLAIN was born in London in 1954. She studied at the Royal College of Art and has worked as an illustrator ever since. Mary now lives in Bath with her husband Ian Dicks, the cartoonist. Her interests include exploring foreign cities and walking in the countryside.

Not as good as the original, but still a fun read Jan. 20 2012

Format: Hardcover Verified Purchase
I loved this book growing up and have been reading the original USA printing to my kid. I decided to purchase the new printing as a gift. The wording has changed and the prose doesn't flow as nicely as the original. Oh well...still a good book.
