Somewhat Disappointing. June 17 2008
By L. K. - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
The concept of this book is very good. Children need a workbook to sort through their feelings about their parent having cancer. But this particular workbook is so tied in to the Treehouse program, that parts of it do not make sense to a child that does not have the benefit of attending a Treehouse Workshop. What I would love to see is an alternative book written by the Treehouse professionals that would make sense to a child who is not part of a support program geared to children who have a parent with cancer. Also, I was expecting more for $9.95 than a 24-page coloring book.
Fun book June 10 2013

I like this book because it is an activity book and allows you to work with a child together. I love the fun activities and think it will engage children appropriately
Good choice Nov. 1 2014

As a counselor I sought something I could work with the child but not overstep the parents boundaries. I eventually gave it to the parents who appreciated the approach the author used. The child was 7.
