Not the best in the series.,

I really enjoy Anne Bishop's novels, however "Tangled Webs" is not one of her best. The start is slow...actually the entire fist part (first 94 pages) is pretty pointless. The story picks up from there.Only three stars: given that 1/3 of the book is fairly boring and I almost put down the book entirely due to it. Fight that urge to drop it and better things will soon come. :)

I enjoyed this book and appreciated how we learned a bit more about Surreal. I was expecting the story to be more about Witch though, so I was a little disappointed. This is a good book to add to a collection but is not up to par with the original trilogy.

Love the black jewels series by Anne Bishop. This one wasn't my favorite so far, but still an excellent read. Has all your favorite characters and some new ones. Kind of a slow start, but near the end it picked up pretty good and kept me flippin pages to find out what was gonna happen next. Definitely recommend any of Anne Bishop's books, highly imaginitave and well written.
