As an author, Lori Foster always provides light-hearted fun. Generally, her sensual heroines and brawny heroes are easy-going and forever playful! So, it shouldn't come as a shock when in TANTALIZING, Foster's heroine enters a bar, dressed to kill, and announces to the hero, "I want some fun!" Does this idea ensure a great read? That depends on your taste. Certainly, as an author, Lori Foster is successful and certainly, as a reader, I buy her books! Great reading versus fun reading - who cares? Just give me a Lori Foster novel any old, lazy afternoon.
Playboy hunk Nick Harris almost fell off his barstool when Josie Jackson showed up. As far as blind dates went, this one was not what he expected! Ok, Josie thought he was another man and ok, she didn't normally dress in a "take me, I'm yours" fashion. Nevertheless, Josie Jackson wanted some fun and Nick Harris was certainly up to the challenge.
Their time together would be temporary and Josie refused to apply pressure. In fact, all she wanted was simple fun - fun with no strings attached. Anything more would be a wasted daydream! She wasn't sure what to expect or hope; yet, curiosity filled her and Nick certainly had the goods to satisfy all that curiosity. The man fulfilled every want, every dream, and every burning fantasy she had ever imagined. By day, little Miss Josie Jackson may be an innocent caregiver for the elderly, but when night fell Josie wanted to be one hot babe!
Reviewer's Comments:
Obviously, deception IS the name of the game in TANTALIZING. Yet, actual deception is of little significance in this Lori Foster novel. Nevertheless, trust me, when I say - this ain't your mama's Harlequin! TANTALIZING is hot and spicy. Certainly, Lori Foster pushes the Harlequin envelope with many of these love scenes. Is TANTALIZING great reading? Again, that depends on your taste. I certainly enjoyed it, but unfortunately, there must be more than hot sex and a pin-up hero to warrant any big golden rating. Although, TANTALIZING falls into recommended territory, it is far from perfect. In other words, if you see Lori Foster's TANTALIZING buy it, but please don't track it down with a hunter's obsession.
