This review is from: Sams Teach Yourself Macromedia Flash MX 2004 in 24 Hours (Paperback)
this book has a great balance between being conversational and showing examples, making it easy for a first time Flash user like myself to work through the program. key concepts are repeated frequently as you navigate through the chapters, so each new chapter helps refresh the previous ones.

i definitely would recommend it to anyone trying to teach themselves flash.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well Written, April 20 2004
This is a wonderful textbook for learning Flash MX. Author Phillip Kerman provides the information in a well organized and clear fashion. He is also good at presenting the material to all level of users. There are enough details so that the novice can follow along with the lessons. However, there are enough interesting tips and insights to keep the experienced user's attention too. I highly recommend it to anyone wishing to learn Flash MX on their own.
