4.0 out of 5 stars Teach Yourself Visually Oct 15 2012

Well, I have ended up installing WHS 2011, and it seems to be pretty good. (after trying FreeNAS-great for geeks, and NASLite 2-which has lousy setup instructions (a bit of hand holding is NOT a bad thing...;) and costs $30 to "try".) This book covers the first version of WHS, and their have been a lot of changes made to the newer version. The Internet (mostly YouTube) seems to cover most of the changes made to the configuration and has good walk throughs of the initial setup. This seems to be a good book to get one's feet wet with WHS, and if you have the time and/or spare equipment, the setup of the first version is a good way to see how it works. Be warned though, the second version requires a 64bit machine, while this book only requires one to have a 32bit machine; much easier to come by... All in all, a good book to have to reference the trickier bits.

This books is very easy to use. Covers many aspects (though not all) of the Windows Home Server. I found it to be very helpful.
