5.0 out of 5 stars The Perfect Introduction Aug. 19 2013

I thoroughly enjoyed this book as I would a novel. The author keeps you engaged throughout and he has a simple yet evocative writing style that brings some of the past events to life! Highly recommended for anyone who would like to learn the basics about volcanoes and earthquakes and also for those who aspire to do something substantial in the field of seismology.
