5.0 out of 5 stars Good training tools Oct. 6 2008
By Helen Dowsing - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
This booklet seems to have some really good, well-thought out steps to teaching your cat to perform useful behaviors on command. It has been very helpful as a supplement to clicker-training books for that very reason. When I couldn't come up with steps towards a desired behavior, this book supplied them.

1.0 out of 5 stars Cat trainer pamphelt Dec 18 2011

This book was too basic. Most suggestions were so basic and most intelligent people have probably used every method. A poor value and probably cost $.25 to make. I would not recommend this book.

2.0 out of 5 stars Teaching your cat tricks Feb. 11 2013
By 3 Cat Owner - Published on Amazon.com

I expected the book to show me how to teach my cat tricks - not come when I call. Maybe I expected too much but this book was too basic. Would be good for a person who has never met a cat.

5.0 out of 5 stars Thanks to this book, my cat plays fetch every day! Sept. 7 2013
By Ecurtan - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This book taught me the most important thing about teaching cats to do tricks: cats have their own way of learning, and it's different from dogs.

I had thought you would teach cats the same way as dogs, and since I didn't know anyone who'd succeeded, I thought they couldn't learn tricks. They can! This book walked me through the process and it was much simpler than I expected.

I taught my cat to fetch a ball, and now he plays until he's worn out. I'll throw it to the top of the stairs because he loves the challenge, and he'll race up there and dash back, ready for more. We have a daily playtime - he'll bring me a toy when he's ready for exercise, and loudly let me know it's time.

My friends are amazed and impressed, and I love the active play with my cat. I'm very happy I bought this book!
