Product Description

Book Description

This hands-on, second-generation teams book guides results-hungry managers, human resources pros, and team facilitators through a full, detailed process for changing any top-down organization into a self-directed, team-controlled work structure that boosts morale, maximizes resources, and dramatically cuts costs. Strong on specifics, it outlines the assumptions necessary to get started, shows how to redesign the organization structure and work processes to best serve the team concept in both unionized and non-unionized environments, and details the roles and ongoing functions of key people in the transition. The book is based upon the proprietary teams-implementation program developed by Dr. Ray and tested on the organizational front lines in some of the nation's most successful companies.

This review is from: Teaming Up: Making the Transition to a Self-Directed Team-Based Organization (Paperback)
Dr Ray takes you on a step-by-step journey towards a successful transition to Self-Directed teams. Everything from Whats to Whys, Designing a system for success, etc. There are alot of good illustrations of potential issues and tangible benefits of a team-based culture.

I have purchased this book for my staff to be used as a reference text while making this journey.
