About the Author
Kristin Shrader-Frechette is distinguished research professor in philosophy and in environmental sciences and policy at the University of South Florida. She holds degrees in mathematics, physics, and philosophy. She is the author of numerous books, including "Ethics of Scientific Research" (Rowman & Littlefield, 1994). Laura Westra is professor of philosophy at the University of Windsor and co-editor of "The Greeks and the Environment" (1997), "The Business of Consumption: Environmental and Business Perspectives" (1997), and "Faces of Environmental Racism" (1995). She is the author of "An Environmental Proposal for Ethics" (1994) and "Living In Integrity: A Global Ethic to Restore a Fragmented Earth (1998) all published by Rowman & Littlefield.
