Product Description

Learning to tell time can be both fun and educational and that’s exactly what this book is all about. Children ages 6-8 who want to learn how to tell time will definitely enjoy and learn from this book.

This book is divided into different sections. It begins with the very basics of learning how to tell time.

As you go through this book it starts very easy and gets more and more challenging as you go further along.

The beginning teaches about the hands of a clock and how to read a clock. First it teaches time by the hour. Clocks are show with the hours in order for easy learning. It is followed by a game like section that allows you to practice what you have learned by showing the same clocks at hourly intervals, only this time they are in random order.

The next section teaches time by the half hour. That is followed by a section that shows times measured every fifteen minutes. Finally there is a section on telling time at minute intervals.

At the end there are a few word time games that will really challenge what you have learned.

It’s a fun book. So what are you waiting for? Download it today.

Telling Time by Margaret Reed was fantastic! I loved the simplistic format and all the examples. This book gave my son the freedom to feel as if he was learning how to tell time on his own. What a great teaching tool! Also, he really enjoyed the time games that followed each lesson.

I remember very well when I was in second grade, learning to tell time. I would have loved to have had a book such as this one. I found it a lot of fun to read. It explains how to tell time on a clock, starting with how to tell the hour. Then it progresses, telling how to recognize the half hour, the quarter hour, and random minutes. It gives a number of examples and has a question-and-answer section after each lesson.

Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars My son loved this book and he is not five yet April 19 2012

This is a great book for teaching your kids how to tell the time. My son loved it (he loves school and homework - long may that continue!) and he easily passed the tests involving the hour and half hour clocks. We are working on the 15 minutes and will move onto the minutes when he is ready. He can't wait to sit the exam at the end of the book - he loves stuff like that.

Great book - reinforces lessons learned but in a fun way that kids will enjoy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Informative, educational and fun! April 19 2012

I really enjoy spending time with my daughters and my Kindle, but usually it is reading picture or puzzle books together. My eldest (6) is always trying her best to tell the time from the old school clock we have in the family room, and gets it right maybe 2 out 3 attempts. So when I saw this book, I had to grab it - for both of our sakes! The first time we read the book together, but subsequently she want to read it by herself, and is getting better every day - pretty sure she'll have it sussed by the end of the week.

Margaret has written a wonderfully entertaining and insightful guide to telling time, which is easy to follow for children and their adult carers too.
