Things blow up. Someone you think is a human turns out to be a shape-shifting Terminator. There are confusing forays through time and discussions about what happened when in which version of the past and/or future. But really, the second season of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles--unfortunately the final season of the series--is about family, connections, and the things we do to protect the ones we love. Sarah Connor (Lena Headey) has an especially rough road, nearly dying and becoming obsessed with a three-dot symbol and detours through a world of UFO obsessives. John Connor (Thomas Dekker), a.k.a. the guy who will grow up to lead humanity's resistance to the hated machines, gets tough and gets a girlfriend. His uncle Derek (Brian Austin Green) gets a girl as well, and the women in their lives turn out to have a surprising connection. Cameron (Summer Glau), the Terminator sent to protect John, suffers some damage and reveals some surprisingly human secrets of her own as her relationship with John gets more emotional and complicated. Shirley Manson (lead singer of Garbage) joins the cast as Catherine Weaver, an icy executive with… well, suffice it to say that a familiar (and threatening) face shows up in her company. The special features are extensive and include featurettes on the writing, effects, stunts, music and more. This is a fitting sendoff for an ambitious show. --Stephanie Reid-Simons

The second season ends with such great possibilities-it's like being on a roller coaster and edging to the top. I was ready for more intricate story lines and character development. I am a fan of every actress and actor of this series-there was never a time when they switched scenes when I thought, 'hmm, don't feel like watching this story line.' The season finale was awesome! (**spoiler**) and my adrenaline was pumping at the thought of John getting to meet his father in the future.

Needless to say-why the hell was this show taken off the air!!!! It is so disappointing that after watching two seasons and witnessing story emerge, that you're left with nothing. It's like being shot at the hint of an orgasm.

Story is well developped and the picture quality and sound quality is exellent. In addition the extras : comments , extras scenes , make off , bloopers are a definitive plus.

The season 2 is even better and needed to answer many questions left by season 1 ending it is just sad a third season have been cancelled but rumors exist about a 3 seasons may come in the form of a movie or direct to Blu-Ray and DVD.

This serie have many websites of fans who ask even for a third season to be broadcast and release on DVD and Blu-Ray because it is one of the rare Science-fiction serie who mix well storyline and special effects.

I suggest to anyone who has not seen this series to give this DVD a try. You will not be disapointed. I dont think i have seen such a brilliant example of small screen Sci-Fi. Well-written, produced, cast, directed etc... it really is a a testiment to the quality of the first two films.

I truly enjoyed this series from the start. I was actually never a fan of the Films, aside from the first 2 (mildly). I for some reason decided to give it a chance. I was hooked from S1 episode 1. I was blown away by the depth of the characters and their development throughout the series. Unfortunately, due to the scheduling of this show being knocked around quite a bit, it made it difficult for fans to stay tuned and it was cancelled after S2 due to lack of an audience.

BEST Sci-Fi made for TV series EVER!

With all this said, I must add this in closing. I WILL NEVER AGAIN WATCH ANOTHER FOX NETWORK SERIES. AS BEAUTIFULLY STATED BY M. SCOTT: "can't support a series that doesn't support us. The network decided to pull the plug on the series after the second season, abandoning the fans and viewers after the season finale. No wrap up, no end story or tie into the rest of the franchise."

This series was something that many fans a like looked forward to on a weekly basis. I hope that another network like SPACE would pick it up and give it another run. Hopeully the DVD sales may revive TSCC as was the case for The Family Guy Series.
We can only hope...

I loved season 2, watched it twice when I first bought it and again several times since then. I do not watch TV as I hated most new shows and the frequent & repetitive commercials, so I disconnected my cable service 4 years ago. True, I may be missing some great shows but now rely on Amazon recommendations & reviews and buy or rent dvds. Anyway, TTSCC season two was awesome. However, the story line with Morris & John & Cameron was discontinued; I enjoyed that story line & looked forward to seeing Morris & Cameron attend a prom. The story line of the mystery girl, John's lab partner, was also discontinued. Also, in the first episode, after Cameron emerges for the blown-up suv, she is once again focused on terminating John. This was stupid! Cameron was reprogrammed by future John before being sent back through time. Therefore, the directive for terminating John would have been deleted.
I can only pray that this series is continued by someone, Joss Whedon perhaps, as it is worthy of several more seasons, in my opinion! The final episode was mind-blowing and a cliff-hanger that will torment me emotionally if not continued.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles is better than you might think. It looks and sounds like an action series, and I'll grant you that there is plenty of "action." However, the scriptwriting is at the highest standard. Character development is nuanced and subtle. The dialogue is rich and surprising. And the episodes leave you with much to think about. For my taste, there is more action, and certainly more shooting, than necessary (I don't require any at all to be entertained). Thus my top-rated science fiction series this year remains the brilliantly-conceived and character-driven Stargate Universe (I haven't seen Caprica yet). Nonetheless, I really look forward to each episode of this series, because the characters and stories are so rich and complex. You might wish to reconceptualize this series as a science fiction/drama employing an action "theme" as a driver. The writers are brilliant. The acting is superb, with Summer Glau an old favourite from her Firefly days.

So disappointing that the series got canned as it had set up some interesting story scenarios.
It does meander a bit here and there in the middle but it totally makes up for it towards the near end... although we will
never see what would have been if it had continued on. Such a damn shame.

:(.
