This review is from: Terra Sculptura, Terra Pictura: Ceramics from the Classic Modernnists : Georges Braque, Marc Chagall, Jean Cocteau, Raoul Dufy, Joan Miro, Pablo Pic (Hardcover)
When I was first studying art history majoring in ceramics, I found alot of books about painting but not alot about ceramics. In my readings I found main references to the artists using clay as a medium but you never got to see their work. In this fabulous book, the ceramic work of Braque, Chagall, Cocteau, Dufy, Miro, and Picasso is showcased. The photography is fabulous and gives the ceramic student an insight of how these modernists used clay to express their art.
