5.0 out of 5 stars Texas April 2 2012
By graduate student - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
Perry's conversational style keeps the reader highly entertained as he delves over tons of little-known facts surrounding Texas history in the course of 200 pages. The trivia included sheds light on both Mexican and Tejano perspectives going back hundreds of years.
A perfect read for those of us often intimidated and/or bored by run-of-the-mill history books.

Being a 10th-generation Texan and history buff, I picked this book up with interest. I was not disappointed! I learned things I didn't know and read things I did know from a new perspective. Perry's style is witty and conversational...so much so, it even kept my husband entertained! Highly recommended....
