Book Description

April 12 2011 The Women's Murder Club
During an intimate dinner party, a cat burglar breaks into the home of A-list actor Marcus Dowling. When his wife walks in on the thief, the situation quickly teeters out of control, leaving an empty safe and a lifeless body.

The same night, a woman and her infant child are ruthlessly gunned down in an abandoned garage. The killer hasn't left a shred of evidence, except for a foreboding and cryptic message: WCF, the letters written in blood-red letters.

With two elusive criminals on the loose, Detective Lindsay Boxer calls on the Women's Murder Club to help her stop them before they continue their spree. But before they can break either case, the Lipstick Killer changes his act and demands a ransom--not for a single victim, but for all of San Francisco. Lindsay puts her own life on the line--but will it be enough to save the city from this deranged killer?

Review

"Those who haven't read any of the novels in the Women's Murder Club series are cheating themselves." (BookReporter.com )

"McCormick's versatile range and vocal skills portray lead Detective Lindsay Boxer and her partner, Rich Conklin, with decisiveness, and even a love interest. She perfectly renders their commitment to work the homeless case on personal time. Add meth labs, drugs, and poisonous snakes-and McCormick delivers a high-octane thriller that won't disappoint." (AudioFile Magazine on 8th Confession )

"Patterson and Paetro are at their best here, weaving a number of plots together to create a novel that dips and flows across genre lines.... A series that shows no signs of fatigue or flagging." (BookReporter.com )

5.0 out of 5 stars Boxer is on top of her game Feb 13 2013
Format:Mass Market Paperback
The Hello Kitty cat burglar has just scored a huge haul in the home of a big movie star and his wife and narrowly escape discovery. Later she is shattered to learn the wife has been murdered. Meanwhile a sociopathic killer has just shot a mother and her young child in a parking garage leaving a cryptic message on the winshield.

It's a race to stop the maniac before little lives are lost and the SFPD is overworked and understaffed. The hello kitty burglar has Boxer on speed dial claiming she has the stolen goods and didn't kill anyone as the media is suggesting.

With two faced paced plots Patterson has woven a story that will thrill the reader as I was. Boxer and the squad are on the job and excitement reigns supreme. Definitely a five star read!

4.0 out of 5 stars The 9th Judgement Dec 11 2011
Format:Paperback
A very good addition to the Women's Murder Club series. Patterson is always a nice fast read when one doesn't want to spend 3 or 4 days on a mystery novel
