Book Description

Jun 10 2006
In the last few years, researchers around the world have reported the importance of acid-alkaline balance to good health. While thousands of people are trying to balance

their body’s pH level, until now, they have had to rely on guides containing only a small number of foods. The Acid-Alkaline Food Guide is a complete resource for people who want to widen their food choices.

The book begins by explaining how the acid-alkaline environment of the body is influenced by foods. It then presents a list of thousands of foods—single foods, combination foods, and even fast foods—and their acid-alkaline effects. The Acid-Alkaline Food Guide will quickly become the resource you turn to at home, in restaurants, and whenever you want to select a food that can help you reach

your health and dietary goals.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great resource! May 25 2009
Format:Paperback
The Acid/Alkaline Food Guide has been a tremendous help for learning how to avoid foods that cause acidity in the body. It came to me by recommendation from my naturopathic doctor. There is a short description of the Acid/Alkaline theory in the first sections of the book but the bulk of the book is an easy to follow chart with a scale outlining foods that cause high acidity all the way to high alkalinity. I have used this book from the day I bought it to adjust my diet and allow me to realize what foods I was eating that were causing me to be acidic. Great resource!

4.0 out of 5 stars Easy to use and practical Oct 12 2009
Format:Paperback
I have read the ph miracle by Dr. Young and then I read this book. Dr. Young's book is too restrictive and unless you have a fortune to spend and lots of time, it is rather difficult to follow. I really liked the Acid Alkaline book as it is simple, practical and you can flip to the food product and see if it is alkaline or acidic. There are some discrepencies, for example tomatoes which are I think listed as alkaline in Dr. Young's book and I think mildly acid in in this book. So wonder which one is correct. But for the money and ease of use, I would recommend this book whole heartedly.
